The Smoke Detector Shootout is held in honor of Jack Umfleet, his companion Dolly and her two beautiful four-year-old twin daughters, who perished in a fire in 2004. The sadness of this tragic event was only heightened by the fact that the apartment where they lost their lives didn’t have working fire detectors. Working smoke detectors double the chance of surviving a fire.
The Umfleet family hosts the golf outing to raise funds for fire safety and collect smoke detectors to donate to the local community.
Gather your foursome for the Smoke Detector Shootout on August 29th! The cost is $100 per golfer, plus a smoke detector with batteries. Help us save lives!
